Weekly Round Up - Shoes

The shoe industry is growing as American consumers spend $20 billion annually on footwear. This number is not surprising given that there are 30,000 show stores in the US!

Who goes shoe shopping most often? Women of course! More than 50% percent of shoes are purchased by women.

Footlocker is the largest shoe retailer by annual sales revenue: $5.5 billion.
Second is Payless Shoesource making $3.8 billion in sales every year.
Third is The Brown Shoe company with $3 billion annual sales.

Nike is another giant in the shoe market, with $16 billion between 2011-2014.

Speaking of athletic shoes, one of my favorite is Fila Threshhold  which you can purchase from 6pm.com. 6pm.com is a big online store of all kinds of shoes. Julie features it in her blog Lomtez.com. See this video.

Another sport shoe I like is Puma Suede Classics. They are a little old style, but perfect for walking.

Ok, here are some important things you need to know before buying shoes

  1. The type of your foot

Finally, let me mention two websites I got to know recently:

Published.com
if you want to get featured as a book writer or blogger, create an account on Published.com. I recently learned about this site. Here is an example of an account you can create:

Memonic.com
Memonic is a site where you can post your notes or thoughts about anything. Here are a few examples from my friend Julie's account:
